Anthony A. Arther
Anthony A. Arther is the managing partner of The Arther Law Firm. The firm has an “of counsel” association with various larger firms and distinguished sole practitioners, and is thus able to assist clients in most areas of law, on domestic and international matters. Although the Firm’s “of counsel” associates handles a variety of matters (from estate planning, real estate, family matters, personal injury, criminal matters & appeals, immigration, employment matters and all sorts of litigation), Attorney Arther specializes and focuses his practice on Domestic and International Business matters and creating and negotiating deals, particularly through his extensive international deal shopping network.
Anthony became involved with international matters and affairs at an early age. He completed secondary school in Barcelona, at S.Y.A, the only secondary-level program which allows students to live with a European or Asian family for an entire academic year while earning U.S. graduation credits, and preparing for selective U.S. colleges and universities. S.Y.A. was chartered by his alma mater, St. Paul’s School, and thePhillips Exeter and Phillips Academy in Andover. Anthony spent his undergraduate years at Dickinson College; studied abroad in their Summer Malaga Program, then in their Italian School for an academic year, and also briefly matriculating at Europe’s oldest university, Universita di Bologna.
Attorney Arther also began his legal career earlier than most. While still in college he interned and then clerked under the tutelage of Attorney Eugene Bogan (now deceased), who once headed New York’s largest full service minority law firm, Lake, Bogan, Lenoir, Thompson and Jones. Anthony later clerked at the Legal Department of PolyGram Holding Company (at that time the world’s largest entertainment company). Attorney Arther is a graduate of New York Law School; and completed part of his legal studies at Temple University Law School in Tokyo, Japan, the only full-time A.B.A. accredited U.S. law school in Japan.
Anthony has been fortunate to work with some of the top and most interesting personalities and companies throughout the world. He also has consulted with Fortune 500 Companies particularly in matters regarding cross-branding and marketing artists and personalities in the entertainment and sports field. Despite the aforementioned past success, Attorney Arther realizes that in this new Internet era, sustained success is always being involved to what is next. Anthony thus relishes working with new and unsigned artists, groups and entrepreneurs worldwide in the entertainment, sports, fashion and business industry; and attracts and represents an eclectic global minded clientele.
Additionally, Anthony is an entertainer in his own right. He enjoys playing the piano and is a former MC (having toured, in his youth, extensively in Bologna, Italy, and all over Europe with world class DJs such as Maurizio Gubellini. Anthony also speaks both Spanish and Italian, with basic comprehension of French and Japanese.
UPDATE: Attorney Arther is recently semi-retired (after 15 years of law practice in 2013) and now devotes most of his time mentoring law students who wish to pursue an international based career, as well as spearheading various global pro bono projects, such as the When In Need (W.I.N.) Foundation www.winfound.org, an international not for profit entity, where he consults as its Global Director.
